New tool for Burn Patients

FDA approves fibrin sealant used to treat burn patients.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved "Artiss, a fibrin sealant used to attach skin grafts in burn patients."

The product "contains lower amounts of thrombin than similar adhesives, giving surgeons more time to align grafts before they begin adhering to the skin."
